Hi everyone, so this project was initially for the NIT warangal sp4mm3r but I was unable to complete it on time due to the nonavailability of electronics. So, anyways I have made a lot of progress on this and basically have only a few things to complete but will only be able to do so after my sem exams are over, anyways here are some pics of the craft!!

Rohit, nice.

But you have not informed me that you complete it. Please color it with tapes.
Please take some video and post please.
We have to unite and to prove ourself to make indigenous products as well as marketing / Canvasing them. I'm sure we must achieve success if we try unitedly.

Kalyan Da, I had problems with the steering aspect(it steered like the buses of Kolkata), cause with this design I was unable to use large rudders as it did not look good with the body. But, I did do some tests with the large rudder and it turned out far better(though not perfect). So, I will build another one, this time out of biofoam to reduce weight(with this one I have to do about 3/4th to full throttle which boils the esc). So, I kept this piece in my storeroom, didn't complete it(will take references from it) and hence didn't post a video. Next time I will build a conventional looking craft and maybe use thrust vectoring for sharper steering. BTW I am currently working on 2 other things and hence have kept this one on hold.

Inputs from VC bhaiya would be of great help here. Had sent him a PM, but I suppose he keeps very busy these days!

A very nice design {:)} Were you inspired by the Ferrari FXX\Enzo?
It is the pervading law of all things organic and inorganic,
Of all things physical and metaphysical,
Of all things human and all things super-human,
Of all true manifestations of the head,
Of the heart, of the soul,
That the life is recognizable in its expression,
That form ever follows function. This is the law.

Nothing specific. Just went with the flow! Wasn't up to my expectation, so I did some tests, learnt a lot and will use them in my future designs!

Rohit, insted using rudder, you can use small DC Motor like Heli tell rotor. Then forward and reverse ESC (Car ESCs)  required. However, you can use servo controlled microswitch, when rudder will go extreeme end, this tiny side thrust motor can start and turn the vehicle. This can be achieved even when you not moving forward also.

Thanks, Kalyan Da. Will surely keep your suggestions in mind!

rohit, its a very good design...i had tried a similar model with edf's....you can use a small rudder to control it but remember you should get a balanced hovering...first step of any hovercraft is to balance itself....when you give the lift for the hovercraft the skirt(bag skirt is really better in water though) should fill correctly and completely with air, there should be a perfect balanced lift...so the most important part is the skirt.once you are done with skirt and you balance it,then the thrust wouldn't be a big deal.my suggestion is to use a EDF for lift and a motor prop combo for thrust, which is very better option.my hovercraft even went on water/mud.

Thanks Harsha! What skirting material did you use?

sorry for a late reply rohit...i used the general polythene carrybag, not the ordinary one but the one which is little bit more stiff and smooth....you can use any of the carry bag's which are especially available form those saree shops or clothing showrooms...or simple one is a megamart or central mall cover would be just fine...
