Hi,

Here are few pics of my F-22, made from Coro, 30" wingspan, length 35".

Need help for what power system to use on it.
Actual plan was for Depron, but due to unavailability of depron, i planned to do it from coro.
So please give your valuable inputs on which motor, esc & cell to be used on it. {THIS F-22 PLAN IS FOR 8" PROP}
It weighs 300 grams.

Thanks.

I have used spar for the leading edge & one spar in centre.

Attached are the Pics.

Today i have completed the model, i just have to do the motor mount as per the motor which i will use.

It was difficult to maintain the 68 degree anlge for the Vertical Stabilizer, i have used 2" of 2mm aluminium wire. I have used 2 of each wire in one vertical stabilizer to get the angle.

some pic of finished F-22.

So another F-22 to see in Jakkur coming month! Great work RC!

Attaching  other's plan without mention is usually violation copyright to some extent. I would advice you to remove the file and put a link instead. The Plan seems to be that for EPP and not Depron (Biofoam).

Is the target AUW 300g or that of just the Airframe alone ? Without KFm aerofoils, the weight seems to be on the higher side. Be ready for fast approach for landing.

What I suggest is  you go for a 6x4 sports prop like one from RC Dhamaka / HC. 8x** would be over kill for Jet of this size.

Pusher Prop Jets have sweet power setup at 3S 2200Kv motor. Unfortunately 2200Kv motors are not so commonly available. For your 300g airframe, below motor would be apt:

Lipo :
      3S 1050-1600mAh  20C

For assembling the Tail at 68* (I had 64*),I made a 'Zig' like the one in picture below and attached the Fin. Later I reinforced with thin Depron spar stuck with Foam face CA/Epoxy. This reminds me that Biofoam (alt for Depron) is available in Bangalore in Iyengar Road market. Inquire in shops selling Acrylic / Sunpack (Coro) sheet. There this one near a temple on the road.

All the best... keep us posted!

PS: 1. The slot for Prop is way small you would need to cut more
      2. I assume you have reinforced the wingspan with CF rod. If not, do get a 2mm Solid/ 3x2mm hollow CF rod from RC Dhamaka.

Thanks a lot ujjwaana.

Just the Airframe alone is 300grms.

Can i purchase this from RCDHAMAKA?
http://www.rcdhamaka.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=59_93&products_id=273

I have a 30A ESC, which i had purchased from RCFORALL last year, can i use that?

I have not cut the slot for the prop completely as i was waiting for someone to tell which prop to use on it, so i will cut accordingly.

I have reinforced the wingspan with spar.

I also have 6x4 prop from RCDAHAMAKA, shall i also purchase 7x4 just incase......!

Thanks again for the detailed explaination & also thanks for informing me to remove the file.

The EMAX motor with RCDhamaka is a charm. Go for it. Also use the 6x4 Prop.
the RCforall 30 ESC  is good but do test it on the ground with the motor and prop if it can handle full throttle well.
Have you put spar from wing tip to wing tip ? coz thats necessary.

Thanks man.. I'd love to make one of these.. I've probably have enough stolen coro (Dominoes pizza boards illegally stuck on traffic signs) from the streets to build one.. he he  ;D
