Hi friends,
It's been a while since i posted any build log. Recently i'm working om flying wings, specially long range or say endurance. I've designed this wing and attaching PDF link here.
I'll post the build link soon.

Enjoy!

Started with cutting 2" thick thermocol sheet to size

Antriksh

Used hot wire to give aerofoil shape and then laminated them with 80 micron sheet.
This technique give super strength to it and it is quite resistance to twist and banding.

Antriksh

Now i installed 128mm aluminium and 4mm cf rods to provide strength and iut is capable to take much payload.
Because of it's huge size i need to keep it detachable so i designed a female section od these robs in solid works and then printed them on 3d printer. I'll share .stl file.

Antriksh

Added fins and completed the nose section. It is 11" wide so plenty of space for big batteries and cameras and of course the Pixhawk. It is really huge and very light weight. I'm expecting it be around 3.5Kg with 21Ah 6S battery. And having flight time at least 2hrs.

Antriksh

Did test flight today and guess what, It flew as expected. Aewsome.
So here are the electronics which I've installed and planning to install-
Motor- T-motor MN4014 11 kv330
ESC- 60A T-motor
Servo- Emax 17g metal gear
Flight controller- for testing APM mini( my trusted one) in future Pixhawk 2.1 with RTK
VTx- Well i made it for mapping purpose but still i some time fly FPV so 600mw Boscame 48Ch with CP antenna.
Telemetry- I'm using Mavlink connected to crossfire diversity receiver
Radio- 9XR pro with TBS crossfire module and diversity receiver

AL HAM SHARI

Nice wing. You could add Lidar too. It's light.

Hello Antirksh,
Long time.... Good to see you back.

Where do you get this 80 Micron Laminating sheet and how you put it on Thermacol.

Also close up of that 3d printed OD for Spars.
