I am working on an OPEN SOURCE HARDWARE, FIXED WING GIS PHOTOGRAMMETRY DRONE , with ambitious peformance and features (that's what I believe  >:D)

Ideally for the Indian Survey Industry having the "best features for least cost" intent!!

I believe, this should boost our local Drone Industry.

Use as much as possible MADE-IN-INDIA

3 Hours flight time and balacing this with <5kg weight will be tricky part. Not sure of achieving that kind of airtime with battery.

Fair point 👍
Li-Ion battery packs is what the current thinking is.
Volume is being made available in the fuselage to accomodate the size.
But then again ...reality is another thing altogether.
All thinking is towards MAKING IT HAPPEN.
Let's take the conversation from that point
If not... then why not ...and what is required to make that a YES.

WINGLET CAD Progress !!!

First of all I am totally new to maintaining a thread and posting on forums ... so excuse the mess and guide me where I fail .

Okay, so the CAD is Fusion 360 (FREE)
I am creating the Winglet and the transition is a  mess.
Its an ANHEDRAL Winglet
The details I am posting are definetly not in the proper sequence or way ... I so hope I get a proper flow going asap!
I mean I don't want to frustrate you out of following and being a part of this project. Seriously sorry.

(I have still not figured how to insert an image in the post ...so attachment zindabad.

IN PROGRESS
Fuselage is the first part I am going to make.
To keep costs down and since I have the required manual skills ... I will be doing it Cheap and Dirty ...errr DUSTY way !!
3D prints and vaccum bagging is too expensive at this stage.
So Bulkheads will be cut (again no laser cutting ... just plain old Fret Saw!! and a ton of laborLOL)
they will be mounted on a Aluminium Square Tube
Foam will be filled and shaped ... and FRP Resin applied ...finished to smooth and etc (next steps later)

UPDATE
Resolved the Main Rib Contuuction method and Rib stucture
A combination of CF Strip, CF Sq Tube, Balsa, Aeroply
The Ribs are sketched in such a way that later when Foam Core CF wing will be made ... not mch of the layout is going to change  (thats the thinking)

UPDATE
Wing STRUCTURE layouut finalised
mixture of CF, Aeroply, Balsa

This is a POC~MVP Wing ... the final production wing is going to be Foam core ~ CF Layup

Would be happy to hear your thoughts

UPDATE : Winglet
This proejct was supposed to have a "simple" aura about it ... well, for the most part it does.
One part which infact need not be done ...is being done anyways ...is the Winglet.
A simple one was never in the works ... but it looks like this one is going to bite very hard.
Chalo, let us see what happens ...
see pic of front view. (CAD Fusion 360 FREE)
