Title: arduino interfaced with the web (LED control)
Post by: Pikle6 on December 31, 2012, 11:27:24 PM
hi guys so i started working on my arduino kit today and i have created an led array basically trying to mimick a 7 segment panel screen. the whole setup has been linked to a webpage on my domain.
now how it works is the page has two controls ON and OFF and also the webpage has a live feed of the setup on my desk so first turn on the live feed then click on any of the buttons. you can, sitting at your pc, control the led's on my desk by either switching them ON or OFF. have a look and tell me how it is. also note your actions will take about 5 seconds to reflect on the webcam.
do turn on the live stream first or you might not be able to see the output

arduino.mitfiles.com (http://arduino.mitfiles.com)

these are just my first few steps with arduino and all your suggestions are welcome and i shall try to improve on them. i also controlled a servo with the arduino today. tomorrow i shall try out more complex exercises.

i am following jeremy blum's tutorial series

and arduino.cc to learn arduino and also projects.sindrelindstad.com (particularly for this project) if you have better resources please do link them here as well. thanks

Pickle6,

Tried your setup just a while ago, after turning On/Off the page refreshes so I can't see it change status "Online" if you know what I mean..though it looks good !! Am I doing it right, was it meant to be like this ?

Pls post more details on your setup whenyou have time, for e.g. where you got it from and what s/w used.

thanks

hi when you click any of the buttons ,nothing must happen to the main live feed page it sends the php script in a new tab and then automatically closes the new tab.

also my laptop server is connected through wifi at home and for some reason it timed out at night once i slept. i have rectified the error now and everything is back to normal you may try it now

will post the entire setup details by evening
