Dear Sooraj,
Not strictly true.

If you connect a battery to an ESC and connect the ESC lead to the AUX pins (near bottom left corner of the display), with the negative on the left, of course, the KK2.1 WILL come to life!

Thats how i tried it before connecting anything else!

See pic. Main battery disconnected. AUX pin powered via a separate ESC...

Iyer sir, all the receiver I/Ps (4 control channels and AUX) power channel (5V, GND) are connected to this M1 port power . so KK2 will definitely work if you connect a BEC to any receiver I/Ps  - actually we power KK2 in this way if we have all opto ESCs. in that case one might have to connect the BEC to receiver battery I/P - then connect power from receiver to KK2 .

Well for beginners to understand easily - KK2 will power up if you connect a BEC to M1 output or any receiver Inputs - I think that is more clear !! ;D

That is one more step in my learning curve! ;D

is there any diagram available how to connect the receiver and ESCs with KK 2.1 board? I have 2 opto n 2 ESC with bec.

Here is the pic from the Hobbyking KK2.1 manual.
Rx cables negatives towards left edge of board.
ESC cables negatives towards right edge of board.

I don't there is any problem in plugging in the ESCs to M1-M4, as long as one ESC with BEC goes to M1
but you should get advise on suitability of using different ESCs

sir

my connection is as mentioned below:

M1,M2-ESCs with bec
M3,M4-opto ESCs

connected the receiver input channels throttle, aileron.rudder, elevator through male to male servo lead..now how the receiver will get power?

Himadri Roy

Through M1's BEC....flip over the kk u'll see a trace connecting the receiver side! :hatsoff:

@dinesh.fly
Sorry i didn't see your post as watching cricket.
Rx will get power like Himadri said.
Just switch on the Tx and connect up battery of quad. Rx should light up.

Pl remove props for next stage of setup. Also ask experienced guys the effect of using 2 different pairs of ESCs

Himadri Roy

Very important to remove props just as Iyer Sir said...
Was figuring out a program using arduino to control the motor with the props on and it fired up to full throttle :o :o but luckily it was far away from me immediately cut off the power!!!

is it a problem to use more than 1 esc with bec?

If you're using switching bec then yes and if its a linear bec then you can
