Hey guys,
I'm building my own trainer from a kit (Thunder Tiger Ready MK3) and have run into some confusion wrt servo mounting on the servo tray. Please help me out here. Here goes the problem description:

While mounting the servo on to the wing, i drilled holes (2mm) thru the servo rails and fit the aileron servo there. However, later, on reading the Futaba manual, i realised, i was supposed to use the brass eyelet and rubber grommet between the servo and railing (since servo has to be insulated from vibration ) . So i started off to do this and realised the grommet/eyelet pair wouldn't fit inside the 2 mm hole and needed a bgger hole and thus expanded it to 3-3.2  mm hole.
However, now i realise it was a mistake, coz the screws provided with futaba are much smaller than the hole. :(
I can remedy this by adjusting some nut bolt pair to the servo mount. But i want to know where i went wrong.
How exactly does one accomodate both grommet-eyelet fitting (which needs a 3mm hole) and the mounting hole on the servo itself (2mm) at the same time?  :headscratch:

You need washers, which are provided, I believe.

The picture in the thread below should give you a fair idea of how this works.

The metal eyelet goes at the bottom (see this thread).

Perfect ! thank you so much Anwar. Helpful as ever (and quick too)

I'd been looking at it upside down all along  :banghead:. And now when i read the manual again, it seems so obvious.....so much for not making silly mistakes
