Just like any other day I wanted to take my nitro buggy(JQ products rtr 1/8) out for a drive and as usuall charged my receiver pack (nimh 1200mah) and connected to check the servo function. The throttle servo worked fine for a couple of seconds and then I noticed the burnt smell and the servo(savox SC 2054 MG) ground to a halt.I immediately disconnected the battery and noticed the battery pulg and the servo had heated up.I realised then that the servo circuit board had bunt up inside. What may be the cause?  :headscratch: I did not do anything differently. How can I avoid  such thing in the future. What other servo can I use without shelling out a bomb.

Whenever the servo gears are jammed motor draw more current from battery to rotate in that situations circuit board will burn. I think something jammed you servo horn which lead to servo damage. In order to prevent them in future check servo horn moment before connecting battery. If it is jammed try to fix it and connect a battery.
