Hi,
I've been pondering a multimeter purchase.
It's the VC980+ TrueRMS multimeter available on TaoBao for Rs:2680/=.

On the other hand Melody Electronics on SP Road has suggested the V8222G TrueRMS meters is availiable for Rs:1500/=

The specs are largely the same. I was wondering if someone could shed light on the large price difference given that I can find nothing on VarTech online: no website, no product spec barring what the shop sent.

There are some differences though:
Vartech is a 3 1/2 digit and VC980+ is a 19999/4 1/2 digit
Also the VC980 has slightly better accuracy and slightly more range on DC..
BUT it has no temp measurement..

All in all the VarTech sounds too good to be true. Hence my post.
