i have bought this camera from ebay.in ..pretty cheap for <2000 rupees ...1.2ghz ...but the range on this is terrible and there is a lot of disturbance in the signal ...is there any way to increase the range of this thing ???

this is the camera ..it came with the receiver ..has good night vision though ,but tuning this thing is a pain...and the audio cannot be heard through the disturbance....
can it's range be increased by some how changing the antena ???

..i'm new to this ..please be gentle .....
if not , is there any other way to increase the range of the camera???

the camera module you are using is a plain CCTV type operating on 1.2GHz and not an FPV unit

the radio power of these units is very less compared to FPV units... and the antenna at rcmumbai.com is for 5.8 GHz which makes it incompatible with your current setup.

1.2 GHz is prone to high disturbance because it is used heavily by the mobile companies operating in 1200MHz (1.2GHz)

the unit you have is having a range and use of Doorbell to Inside the house behind the door.

so there is absolutely no way of modifying the system to improve its range???

i'm not sure man, just found this on banggood, thought might be useful. let the pros decide.....

use atleast a 13-14 dBi antenna for good range...
