I want to use 2 nos. of servos (1) SO206 9 gm Servo (2) SO210 SERVO (without ESC), so when I am charging the Rx with 4 nos. of rechargeable batteries ( 2700 mAh) and connecting the servos, both the servos are fluctuating irregularly & when I am connecting any one servo it is working fine. First I thought it a problem due to low voltage (less than 6 volt; normal 4.8 volt) I change the battery with 7.4 volt (2S) 500 mAh, I am facing the same problem.

Firstly, DO not power up the Rx with a 7.4V supply. It is likely to - if not already - damage your receiver.

Please give more information as to which channels you have plugged the servos into. Have you tried it/them any other channel?

The problem is solved after discussing with Saikat Sir.
I have charged the Rx with 3.7 volt, 3 amp battery.
Now both the servos are working fine.
Thanks Susil for your information.

Hi Maharana,
Where are you using these servos... Havent heard from you for a long time.Whats the new project?

Nothing serious yaar.
I think BEC VOLTAGE REGULATOR is a very nice stuff when you are dealing with servos without ESC.

Unlikely that your receiver  and servos would give full performance at 3.7 V.

But BEC is used to power the receiver so that the main battery doesnot run out of charge.. But BEC alone can operate the servos... but it not a gud way to use them....
By the way guys can we use a 2s lipo and a BEC to power a RC CAR receiver????

The min. volt. required to most of Rx is 3.5 v, so with 1s battery - 3.7 rated voltage (multimeter shows just above 4 v)  just not safe side as the diff. volt is just 0.2 volt.
It is more safe to use 6 volt (diff. volt is about 2.5 volt) but things go wrong when we charge Rx with low amp batteries, each time we operate the servos, Rx resets itself.

Well I am not an expert in this matter, let seniors explain it clearly.

I want to use a 2s lipo 850mah so 2s lipo is 8.4v (2 * 4.2(fully charged lipo)) but output of 2s lipo will only be 7.2v coz of internal circuitry... And will use a 5V BEC with lipo.. So Volts to RX will be 5V only.... I think....

Hi Everyone! :salute:
I am working on a foamy with 33" Wing span and 162sq Inch Wing area. The AUW around 450 grams. I will use a Brushless outrunner motor(2840KV) with 2s1p Lipo 2200mAh using Turnigy Plush 18A ESC with inbuilt Battery Eliminator Circuit ("http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idproduct=4312").
The output from the ESC to the receiver is stated 5V,2A in the product description.

??? The doubt I have is: Can I use total of 4 (HXT900 9grms Servos)("http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idproduct=662")
(one-one for Elevator, Rudder, Aileron and Bomb drop mechanism) without causing any of the servos to glitch on full throttle as well as partial throttle too?

Please suggest solution if you find any possible problem in that...
Thanks. :)
Sumeet.

I see no reason for the servos to "glitch" or otherwise act up, regardless of throttle position. Go ahead with your project!

Yeah... Seems fine to me as well. As rightly pointed by Sushil, there is no reason to worry on the capacitance of the BEC using only 4 micro servos.

However, I feel the battery may be a bit heavy/large for the model of this size. Since the pattern of the model is NOT mentioned (aerobatic / profile / scale / trainer), I am assuming its a profile (being a foamy).
Cheers !!!
