The reliability of the HiTec is legendary. Why would you want to change it for HK?
Anyway, these are better

Use these, they are fine for your purpose: https://hobbyking.com/en_us/hobbykingtm-hk15148b-digital-servo-2-8kg-0-14sec-19g.html?___store=en_us
I don't see any reason not to use digital, or to add weight by using standard servos
If you must use analogue standard servos, check E Max 3001 available real cheap at rcmumbai.com

sir
will try, as rcmumbai is in the neighborhood,
have pre booked hs-311 on tower hobby

i don't have any so no experience.

who told you that its a digital servo? its (hs311) an analog servo
sir
i wrote " turns out hxt5010 is digital servo and am looking for analog srevo's "
hxt5010 is digital, hs-311 is analog.
i am looking for hs-311 servos do you know any source where they are currently in stock
regards
ashok
Ashok: Digital do not draw more current and do not vibrate more ;D
They sometimes have a slight "buzzing sound" which is entirely harmless
Servos have 2 main characteristics:
1. Torque - expressed as Kg-cm. eg a 3 Kg-cm torque means that with a servo wheel of 1 cm (radius) the force (pull or push) exerted will be up to 3 Kgf
2. Speed - usually expressed as time taken to traverse 60 deg. rotation. A lower speed means a faster servo
This is besides the weight/dimensions
Servo selection involves basically a selection of suitable torque - depends on control surface area, speed and weight of the model. Sorry, no easy formula to calculate
Speed selection depends on type of model/flying. A trainer will be happy with regular or slow speed, for precision aerobatics or 3D flying a high speed servo is used
Always check torque & speed when substituting one brand for another
Metal and higher grade plastic gears give longer life to the teeth
sir
thank's
am going to try digital servo's, looks like time to try new technology
hope they work for me

I was not referring to your English!
Just surprised at the statement :)
Why don't you use the E Max Servos of you want Standard Size? Else use HobbyKing™ HK15148B Digital Servo 2.8kg / 0.14sec / 19g

IMHO the best all-round budget servo is the HiTec HS 311. I have some that are 15 years old and still going strong
