Pylon..what type of PTs are looking for..? and you can buy most of the SC PTs from local shops..or can sustitute with others..

What type (or perfectly the model no.) you need ? BJT, FET, MOSFET, CMOS MESFET, IGBT, UJT, Darlington Pair, Sziklai Pair are all Transistor and are found in different packaging depending upon mainly Power Handling capacity (All limited by Heat, simply, Any Electrical or Electronic component, and secondary parameters are other special parameter for special purpose work like Hi Freq work). If they are discrete component, we can Try, but if SMDs, some special persons can help you.

Please post the requirement in detail So that we can Try.

But please remember, the local supplied power transistors will be the cheaper than online purchase.
And a Radio/TV Technician of your locality can help you best.

Kalyan..you are wrong..not all locally purchased PTs are not cheap and not in poor quality..are we Indians are good for nothing..? i started my electronics career in my child hood and it became serious with my boy hood..all not only in theory..but surely in practical..and one of the best PTs i ever used in my use are from no where, and not from on line..but from our Land..the INDIA..from Bharat Electronics Limited..and in my experience one of the world class Electrolytic capacitors were from Keltron, and i was a visitor, of Keltron capacitor factory at Mangatt, in Kannur Dist, as part of my job, as a high pressure L P G technician..to take maintenance of gas burners of capacitor plant..and one of the ever best transformers that i used in my applications was the Incor transformer factory, is situated in Kerala State..why we all thinking ourselves as inferior..!!!  and still most of my own crafts are powered by locally available components including the 7805, 7806, and 7809 regulators, all from BEL, and works perfectly than any other one..and i have some bad experiences with PTs, that purchased from online..even i got an STK 4191 II IC, from a vendor out side our country, and it never worked..so, we must try with components with us..when we induvidually upgrades our country also upgrades..its not an advice or raging..but consider as a kind request..

Sir i want to use the pt for making a solar cell

Making a Solar cell using defective power transisters (specially 2N3055 or BU205) are a common projects and you have to search local TV / Radio technician who repairs Inverters, TVs etc. If you want to purchase transistors (Good new) it will not be a cost effective one. Actually the Base collector junction fails when the power transistor fails but you require base emitter junction working only. Another, you need TO-3 Metal Package so that opening the metal cover you can get direct exposure to sunlight. But the power generated would be not again cost effective one if you planned so. And TO-202 any plastic encapsulated power transistors cannot be used for that.

And Krishna, Transportation does not always from abroad but if you send 10 transistor from chennai to kolkata the cost of the transistor would be multiplied several times , but the same item sold in my neighbour will be less as there, transportation cost charged per device (item) will be less for bulk order. Simple .

Kalyan..its true..but how much of us are ready to take a bulk order from abroad..? if i give the address of the companies of Temasia lakhi, or N E C, or S G S Thomsun , or Mitsumi, to Pylon, will he book an order for a bulk lot..? especially all those goodies are avilable here..? so..be RC INDIANS...

Components purchase from nearest Radio/TV technician's shop or electronics component shop enjoy bulk shipping charges.

sir what will be the price of the silicon power transistor?

for a 2N 3055 about Rs 20/- for metal case, for one, and Rs 25/- for plastic case..

Sir can i get it from from a person who repairs DVD player, television ,ac etc

just go to your local electronics market and enquire about it. it's not an uncommon piece.  this will otherwise be available with a person/shop making invertors, as it is widely used in making them.
