Post by: neo1896 on June 23, 2010, 12:51:50 AM
Hi

Am looking for a servo which can rotate a Rubik's cube.Basically am working on a gripper mechanism. Can anyone suggest the specs of the servo which i should use.looking for a very fast servo.

PS: does any sevo offer 360 degree of rotation. The one i use in rc cars are 180.

You can get special continuous rotation servos, or modify/hack the normal ones.

Not sure if the continuous rotation ones are available in India, you will have to look at robotics stores and not in RC stores.

That would depend on how smooth your cube turns, right ? It is hard to say without testing, my guess is that it should suffice in most cases.

I would suggest that you also look into the motors mentioned here : http://www.rcindia.org/boats-kites-trains-and-all-others/mistral-motor-yacht/
