Hello friends,
Please give me the alternate or local names for
1. coroplast - eg.sunpack sheet
2. Foam sheet /foam core board
Also provide some close up pictures of the material to reveal its characteristics. As I have not seen a EPP or Foam core(i have coroplast)sheet I cannot explain them to the local shop keeper or even if they have it I cannot identify them.
Thanks in advance :hatsoff:
Foam board goes by many local names such as:
Insuboard
Biofoam
XPSboard
Can we not take this thread deeper?
e.g. Corro:
Alternate names - Corroplast, Sunpack, Corrodex
Characteristics: High Strength to weight ratio, Good Impact resistance, Good surface finishing (does not need covering), Good adhesion, can make hinges easily,
Disadvantages: Can lead to heavy builds, does not bend easily- not good on compound curves
etc. etc.
I am sure we can all share from forum members' experiences

IS IT THE SAME??
Sorry to disappoint you but what you have doesn't seem to be Depron. Depron is known as BioFoam in India. What you have is foam that is used for packing computer peripherals. It is almost spongy but water proof.
Depron is the stuff that picnic plates (it is NOT Thermocole) are made out of. Get some picnic plates, stack 6 of them and glue them together with Fevicol. Once that is dry, you will get an idea what Depron/Biofoam looks and feels like.
Send me your address and I will send you a sample of Depron. You can take it to the market and show it around to find retailers in Coimbatore.
No santhosh this is not depron.. it is kind of eps material..
Not go or for rc.. its not stiff..:(

I dont think that is EPP too it looks more like packing foam. EPP is a bit denser then that
As VC sir said even i think its for packing computer peripherals as it is waterproof
