Hi,
Any ideas how I can make a sanding block. I'm building a cub from a kit from RCBazaar. The kit content is good but the manual is plain rubbish. No plans at all. Or any one selling sanding blocks. I need something like 24 inches for LE sanding.

I normally cyano a strip of sandpaper of the required grade to a rectangular block of wood (like a blackboard duster or smaller) and use it as a sanding block. I have different blocks with 80 grit, 120 grit, 240 grit and 400 grit. Once the sandpaper has lost its abrasive properties, it has to be replaced.

Since I do wet sanding on putty, I like to use the waterproof black 'wet and dry' emery paper instead of the regular yellow sand paper.
Growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional!

I use thermacol piece and stick sandpaper of 80 and 120 Grit paper on 2 sidesso use which one suites.

I've built the same model; the build log is posted here. 24" long sanding block? Never used more than 6", in over 50 different models :D :D

You have lots of info from very knowledgeable people. Only addition is I use wood, and use drawing pins :)
