Any comments? Would love to hear from you guys before I buy it. I will be working mainly with 3-10 mm Ply, 6 - 10 mm Depron, Balsa etc. Nothing heavy duty. Max 2 - 3 mm Aluminium.

Not a bad choice if you would use it for hobby & household repairs.
I use something similar in my workshop, but not a branded machine like B&D, but a cheaper Chinese clone, its been 3 years now and it is still live and kicking.

VC - suggest you don't go for that as it will not be suitable
for precision work - for instance if you wanted to cut out a boat
former from 4mm ply -
For hobby work - go for a scroll saw - it can saw through the crack in an
ants butt. (forgive the vivid imagery)

I second what Saikat has proposed.
For cutting bulkheads and other profiles in soft & hardwood/plyboard a scroll saw will be perfect.
I bought one last December. The machine has a 24" aluminum throat, 10" dia aluminum table & is powered by a 80W ac motor, has an in- built blower to remove saw dust from the table. Weighs about 7 kilos and easily sits on a small workbench.
We use it to cut templates in 0.6mm through 1.5mm thick soft drawn brass sheets, and use 32TPI 3mm wide 5" long wire type scroll saw blades The machine is from a manufacturer in Pune, and was about rs.4880/- incl. VAT. Bought it from a vendor on N.S Road, Calcutta.
Ofcourse there are better machines available from Proxxon & Bosch, but they are expensive

I use a scroll saw which works great for cutting parts, the picture that i have attached is a scroll saw which is very similar to the one i use but not a Dewalt machine.
VC I also have a Black & Decker almost similar one with Variable Speed.
With a variable speed control and steady hands you can achieve almost most of the intricate works.
Definitely would agree with Saikat on for a more voluminousness detailed works a Scroll Saw is preferable.

here is the pic of the scroll saw that I have at my Garden railway manufacturing workshop.
Other than cutting templates in brass using 32tpi saw blades, I at times use it for personal hobby work for cutting out 1/8" thick hardwood & balsa wood bulkheads for my model boats. Of course I use a coarser 24tpi blade for woodworking.

I use local brand jigsaw mostly to cut the large part of plywood. Rs1400 and blade is very cheap. Using a metal cutting blade will give more precision.
I also has a Dremel Moto-Saw for very micro precision works. I got it from amazon US. price $99.
The advantage is it is easy to fit on any table edge and can be removed if not required.
The disadvantage is the spare blades not available here.

VC, the scroll saw is the better option!
Can even use a hand coping saw
