Looking for cheap, lightweight and durable wheels for landing gear?
I struggled for wheels that can take a lot of bumps and finally understood that requires a lot of $s. But it is not fair Right?
So I decided to make few myself.
I prepared a rig with brushless motor an esc a battery a receiver and transmeter. You can use a servo tester.
an old sleeper... yes an old sleeper.
pictures explain a lot.

Nice mini lathe. Keep innovating and make RC an intestering hobby.  {:)}

I think a piece of brass tubing in the centre will serve as a nice bushing else the rubber of the slipper will add a lot of resistance and will start tearing after a few landings

Thanks for encouraging words!
I did fix those with brass tube.
A brass refill of a dot pen, that is free too.

Nice work

What did you use as a cutting tool or abrasive?

kondor

Sand paper, a file and a piece of sleeper with u cut.

How's the file now? Cleaned off the rubber?
