How many hobbyists out there use Dremel in Bangalore? We are looking at hosting an event for Dremel users to interact, share hobby ideas, interesting tips etc!

I bought a Dremel 300 with 55pc Accessory Set, Flexi Shaft and moulded case for Rs.4600 all inclusive. 6 months Warranty.

Thanks a lot to VC for putting this up. I called Hari and he's extremely helpful! The store was very crouded and he patiently answered ALL my questions and opened up several products so that I can have a peep. Another person, whose name evades me, was also keen on helping me out. Explained a lot of stuff and spoke about several products. Excellent customer service.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

What dremel to get to cut out stripped hex screws? It will be used only for that purpose. Please suggest one.

I usually use the cut-off wheel (540/456) for the screw head to make a slot and use a screw driver to remove it.

If that fails, cut out the head and carefully drill (628) it out. Though the first method works 99% percent of the time.

If you're talking about the Dremel itself, any model will get the job done. If this will be its exclusive use, I suggest getting a cheap clone and using dremel bits. Any 3.2mm chuck will accept all dremel accessories.

Hope this helps!

Tassem.

I have no clue on dremels. Please suggest a model, wheels, accessories to get. I prefer a cheap one as its for very rare use. I hardly strip my screws as I use high quality wrenches and am patient with my cars.

buy the dremel 100 or chinese die grinder if u want dremel for stripped screws, for some extra hobby work dremel 300 will suffice.

Just got Dremel 4000 4/65 from Machpowertools....and a multi vice, clamps, and a workbench....hope to be able to take care of lots of small jobs...will keep on building the accessory inventory...

Where is a good place to buy one? I don't mind a clone. Only use us lean body sanding and cutting screws.

I am sure you will have a good experience. I mean I did.. they are prompt and reasonable...only sometimes their payment gateway does not work...

Congratulations mrfixit4u. Good to note they reorganized the flexishaft holder in the case. In the 300 series, the flexishaft keeps falling off.
