We do not have any now. Can you wait for a month?

Thanks for responding!

Are you saying that you used to stock this kit earlier? It's surprising because Bosch people say that it's not meant for India. I found a couple of non-Bosch people who can import this kit for me in around 20 days. Only problem is that they couldn't confirm the number of batteries in their kit and hence I never ordered from them.

Yes, I can wait for a month to buy this kit from Bosch. Please let me know other details (Shipping cost, price etc) whenever you find time.

Thank you!

Mr iam-hanuman's smartness removed the name of the kit we were talking about...
For the benefit of any new comer who directly jumps to "Reply #50", I am referring to Dremel 8200-2/28 kit.

Mr iamhanuman & alwar: i've read your nested multi-quotes policy (i am amongst 0.0001% of the members who actually read forum policies) and i the kept the bare minimum of the old comments, just to retain the relevant information. Thread's title is "Dremel" and we are discussing about all sorts of Dremels. If you don't like the way i post, then please delete all of my posts and my id (like you did earlier).

PS: all names have been changed to protect the identities... lol

Not really... if you see the above post #50 modified by "iamhuman", you will notice that the line starting with "Quote from :" is in green color, which means it is a clickable link.  That link would directly take you to the details including the model number you mentioned.  So the clarity or continuity of the conversation is not lost at all.

There is a very valid reason we came up with the "minimum quote" policy... I have seen how bad it gets again and again on other forums (RCGroups for example).

So I, Idi Amin of RC India, hereby declare myself and "iamhuman" NOT guilty of all wrong doing :giggle:

PS: Your concern is noted. Most importantly, this is done to a large number of posts here, from a large number of people, so the blood pressure may be kept under control :)

Hi Dremel/Manisha,

As 8200-2/28 is not available in India, do you know if some Bosch dealership imports it? I asked one of the authorized Bosch dealers in Gurgaon (Haryana) and he told me that I am talking nonsense. ;D

Do you know any shop/dealer in NCR who keeps the 8200-2/28 kit?

Thank you!

lol.. we have 8000 series now.. do you need that..

Hello Dremel,

A few months ago I bought a Dremel  MultiPro 7.2 volt Model-770, two speed cordless moto tool from USA. It is ok for small jobs but not as versatile and powerful as the mains powered moto tools. So I wish to know if the speed control units for the above mentioned Model-395 type -3 and type- 4
moto tools could be purchased here in India? If available where in India can I get them.?

Thank you ,
Rao.

guys.. pls post (to the least ) your cities as I can direct you to the service centre closest to you. or else the toll free no. is 1800 425 8665. If that doesnot help.. write to me..

Thank you for letting me know! Does your version of 8000 series contain 8200 as well? Or is it just "The 8000"?

Because I need 8200 for myself and not for the kids (I don't have any kids, so 8000 won't be useful either ways... lol)

I live in a midsized town called TADEPALLIGUDEM. in the state of Andhra Pradesh. However my son an engineering graduate like me live in Bangalore. So if the speed control switches of the models as mentioned above can be purchased in Bangalore it would be okay.
thank you.

It's not 2012 yet :)

I just got the 2 battery version from US. The only reason I persisted on 8200-2/28 kit is because the tool runs on 12V batteries. Other 8200/8000 versions run on 10.8V, so they are slightly under-performing. The drawback in my case is that I have to use a step-down transformer, but I have plenty of them at my home.

8200 is available.. but not with 2 batteries .. 2 are attachments and not batteries.Good Luck! That is available in India..

1) here's what i got from the US:
http://www.dremel.com/en-us/tools/Pages/ToolDetail.aspx?pid=8200-2%2f28
it comes with 2 batteries (12V Li-Ion) and 2 attachments. Charger works with 110V AC.

2) these are the ones available throughout Europe and basically, rest of the countries having 220V AC:
http://www.dremeleurope.com/dremelocs-za/category/2712/dremel%C2%AE-8200
it's got 1 battery (10.8V Li-Ion) and the charger works with 220V AC.

i am not sure if the indian version has the mighty 12V battery. even single battery is okay. i'd written to 3 bosch dealers and none of them could verify if was 10.8V or 12. all they knew that there was some sort of battery in the box :)

and yes, it was my 'good luck' as my 8200 kit cost me less than the price of Dremel 300 in india!

Dremel / Manisha,

i have a question for you.

dremel in India is a subset of the ones in US. Dremel 4000 6/50 (US) differs with 4/65 (India) in attachments and accessories. overall i find 6/50 is much better if you look at the cost of the individual attachments if needed. why is there a difference in the Indian version and US version?

secondly i visited Home Town who stocks Dremel (300 as of now) and they have no idea about Dremel 4000. the senior tools incharge there had to call the Bosch supplier on and off for getting details. and further said 4000 was not available and will have to be ordered which will take atleast 15 days.

is there a dealer in Pune whom i can reach and buy Dremel 4000 (possibly 6/50) in pune? also please quote the approxmiate cost. since i have been reading the forum with average cost of Dremel 4000 being around 5000 - 7000. i was quoted 10500 minimum at home town.

Regards,
Aashish

Unfortunately there are dealers in Pune trying to sell me Dremel 400 as 4000. they say its the same! fortunately i got to see a catalog in Home Town and got to know that the indian variants are 4000 1/45 and 4/65. DBMS and machpowertools have the 4/65 but priced very high since it involves courier charges.

still waiting for any other dealers to confirm the price.

This is the going prices in Tool markets across the country. I paid some 3800 in Bangalore some 6 moths back. Sadly most of the Online Shop in India are trying Fleece people instead of giving competition to Brick and Mortar shops. Please do confirm local prices before falling prey to these Online shops.

Srivatsa, you can go SJP Road (Towards the Masjid end)  and there is Bosch dealer. You can get best prices there. Other good place is Goodwill Enterprise in SP Road which is more like 'Tools Supermarket' where you can walk and pick tools you want from shelves like Spar/Foodworld!!

Hello Dremel/Manisha.

I am looking for Dremel 4000 series in Hyderabad. Where could I get it here in my place? Is there any person whom I could get in touch?

Thanks,
Pavan Theegala,
.

harsha

Pavan you can get dremel in Balanagar. There is a BOSCH outlet in Balanagar and also in Ranigunj. In local market they are called as Electric Die Grinders.

helion

RaniGunj Bosch outlet(store name Tools & Spares Corporation) in Secunderabad has the Dremel range, but you must be wary of going into their glossy branch. Instead you must first inquire with their basic store of Tools & Spares Corporation, or find out from Bosch's marketing people first and then deal for the price.

A couple of stores in the neighbourhood also sport the bosch logo in their store banner, so there can be a chance for price comparison.

Hi; I have Dremel 4000. Purchased from DBMSBosch Delhi. Why not Dremel manufacture Cutting wheels from high grade Steel ? The 420 wheel breaks easily and become small when use on Aluminium. We have to change it again and again. If Dremel make metal blades\wheels for metal cutting then we need only one wheel.
