Folks,
I have this two side laminated biofoam sheet. I need to remove the lamination to get to the actual 2-3 mm foam. In the past, I have tried peeling off the lamination, soaking in water for sometime but none seem to work properly.

Does anyone know how to remove the lamination effectively?

why removing the lamination in first place?  :headscratch: :headscratch: :headscratch:

actually, I am in need for thin biofoam sheet. I have sufficient quantity of the laminated variety and I do not want to purchase new stock.

you cant without damaging the foam

the adhesive used is only dissolved with
acetone - unfortunately this will also dissolve the foam

you could try using methylated sprit - it is a slovent to some
laminate glues.

if you do find a way - pls let us know

Even Methylated Spirit (ones you get in chemist shop) at least corrodes the Biod Foam and make it brittle as if you put a thin film of Foam Safe CA.

Please don't try it Sandeep. The recycle attempt may be futile. Better put an Ad in this forum and dispose it to some willing local R/c flyer.

I've tried doing the same but have only ended up spoiling the foam. The best way of using it is to scrape the surface area u want to glue with the help of fine grit sand paper. This makes the bond strong as well !!!

The best bet would be to sand it off. But it is laminated for a reason. it would be too brittle without lamination. No point building something that falls apart midair.
