hi,

i need a battery wire extension for the pusher plane i am making, for that i need to mount battery very far from ESC, so i am thinking to connect the XT-60 connectors with wires, now question is:

do i really need such speciallized wires as:

http://www.aeroworks.co.in/Battery_wires_4813.html

or i can use some other common wires.

Even if i say halalujah, it aint fly...

A heavy duty house wiring cable also works but it is very heavy and rigid as compared to the special battery wires you saw on aeroworks. I had used it on my hoverboy IV to combine two lipo packs in parallel.

in those crafts where weight is not critical you can use house wiring cable else the special silicon battery wire.

you can use Finolex auto wire of 1M or 1.5M, easily available at local electric shop....

I presume you mean 1 or 1.5 mm. I would opt for at least 2.0 or even 2.5 mm depending on the length of the extension. Do note that the size refers to the actual wire and NOT the OD!
