i feel myself lucky to see 3d printed models(not aircrafts), in real life and work upon it. Its still very rare in india and very expensive.

The only drawback is you don't get smooth curves.  :banghead: :banghead: (but wont take time to be rectified)
At present we may need a bit sandpaper for RC  ;D

The models i have seen had materials which seemed a bit heavy for RC, but alternative always exists.

In RC, it has got lots of scope. And i am sure many of us would be printing our model within a decade.

The technology has clear cut way in overcoming the present modelling techniques.

I can take off and fly well. Its landing which sucks :banghead::banghead:

If anyone of us has a 3axiz DIY CNC, I've read the carriage can be suited to work as a 3d printer, provided we can get hold of the spray jets.

I'm planning to start building a CNC machine using MDF and steppers. If it works, I'll be happy to share it for testing :D
