Hi,
I just ran out of my pack of #64 Hobbico Rubber Bands. Being lazy, i did not want to get another pack.
Its common knowledge that rubber bands can be made out of cycle tubing too.
(Thanks to Harshit Batra for reminding me)
So i tried to give it a shot.
What you need:
Cycle tubing (your neighbor's cycle is a good and recommended source)
SR 998 Rubber based adhesive ( SR998:SPADDers::Honey:Honeybee)
Ruler, Pair of Scissor and a Balcony with plants and insects.

☣ Cut desired sections of the tubing in smaller cylinders.
☣ Cut the hollow cylinders along the height
☣ Then Cut rubbers of desired lengths {Limneatness->0 f(neatness)}
☣ Paste the ends with SR 998 (carefully follow the back instructions)[

One section gives about 8-10 rubber Bands.
One Complete tube will reap around 35-40 rubbers (in my case and taking wastage in account)
So; you get several new rubbers for your daily RC needs for about 1 :Rs: a piece
Regards ;D

That's a beautiful model Prabal and that's an ingenious solution too.
I can see that preparing for the JEE has taken over your everyday life as well :giggle:

The model was built by Harshit.
He gave it to my on my B'day.
I do not like plain white planes. ;)
Prep for JEE has taken over my everyday life, yes!
:)
Thanks

Or, you could save yourself from all this work, buy the cycle valve rubber, in long lengths, and use that

Good idea!
Will give that a try too.
Right now, I have more than 30rubbers.
Enough for this year.
