Zepron are like Depron (BioFoam) but are much flexible and due to their bending property they could be used for folded wing design.

Any body game for finding the local variant ? At least the name (as Depron is BioFoam, Coro is Sunpack, etc etc) ??

Any place in Bangalore for depron??

Hi TG,

I had purchased 3mm depron from RCDHAMAKA last month, you can try there, that time they had just one 3mm sheet left with them.

Saurabh.

hi saurabh...the only thing i do in such locality where the materials are not easily avail...is that i go and give them a sample....and tell them to get it...they have loads of contact!....

just so...there is a shop near sports complex..andheri west...i gave him the biofoam sample which i found in Dadar.
so if you have a small piece of coroplast...you can def go and show him...

VC

 :headscratch: :headscratch: :headscratch: ??? ??? ???

Would you please explain exactly what you mean by a "Bullet Proof Plane"?
Growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional!

sandeepm

To Make a bullet proof aeroplane you have to Join NASA research Lab and please contact DRDO and
i think you are searching for BPP material (Bullet Proof Plane) instead of EPP.
Sorry Rao, jokes apart......but your idea is good ut exactly what you mean by BPP......????

I saw an experimental GPS driven UAV aircraft being tested by some company in the Jakkur field, and it was covered with Kevlar sheets.  That is one way to get close to being bullet proof ;)

I also saw it fall from about 50 feet, with no damage at all !

"Bullet proof plane" means, the plane which is "Crash Proof". When the EPP is reinforced with packing tape, it becomes "Bullet Proof"!

For the guys who are into builing SPADs, heres some thing I tried and I think it will work better than coro, specificaly for profile planes. I've found a thing called 'Multi layered polycarbonate sheet'. It is hard as plastic but flexible like coro. it has flutes and if the flutes are cut away, it gives a great aerofoil.
If anyone is interested then I'll find out the name of the company that manufactures it.
Pls see the photographs of the material I'm talking about in this thread

Has anybody been able to source 4mm coro?
By the way my build has a 4.6mm MLPC sheet.

SPAD Debonair with OS 46
Turbo Raven 60 with an ASP 91
Next build - Accipiter 91 with DLE 20
Futaba 6EXAP, Futaba 10 CAP

Hi Guys,
Ramesh tells me decent EPP is not available in India at all. He imported from Flying Wings in UK recently and says the quality of that product is out of another world compared to the other products that are in the market.

"EPP is not available in India. and I had to order it from flyingwings.com, shipping is huge, and then add customs......................."

I referred him to Sai and Ramesh stresses;
"Just spoke to Sai, he referred to the material used by car garages for insulation when fitting ac, it comes in 20 feet rolls, not good dude.
This stuff does not even come 10% close to the EPP from flyingwings.com. So when he realised what I was saying, he did say there is some company selling EPP and would possibly send me some contacts.

But Deepak, u cannot beat EPP by flying wings, even when cost of shipping is 3 times the order value. So u being in UK, enjoy EPP dude, we are the unfortunate ones....u cannot beat the quality of Depron, the biopack found here is not a patch. I have seen Depron, most guys in India have not seen Depron, so they just praise the crap u get here, hahaha.
Thanks for your effort, appreciate it, but I will still order from flyingwings, 15mm and 25mm thickness. probably order it tonight. Guys here have no idea of quality."

Can anyone shed any more light on this subject... Have you bought actual EPP in your city?
Have any of you flown or seen the actual EPP from Flying Wings....
