I crashed a SkySurfer V2 on a super windy day and the entire fuselage broke into pieces. I managed to fix everything BUT one aileron that came off. Is there a way to glue it up? Please see the attached picture. Thanks.
PS: I purchased some nylon hinges.
try something similar to the below picture

To get nylon hinges to adhere a long time in foam (EPP,EPO) is not easy, even with epoxy
The best bet is to use Blenderm Tape; if not available, fiber tape
I had a similar situation with my SS, and used this with foam safe glue:

holds better and perfect nice smooth travel.
havent flown it after the crash. but can say it will work good.
Thanks for the replies. I have just figured out another problem with the hinges I bought (http://www.sp4mm3r.com/nylon-pinned-hinges-l16-28mm.html). They're pretty small and the axle in particular is hardly 1mm in dia. But the distance between the wing's boundary and the aileron's boundary (of the surface to which the hinge will be glued) when they're in contact is ~3-4mm.. So this means that with the axle aligned in the centre, there HAS to be a slip between hinge & one of the surfaces (wing/aileron) to facilitate roll... which is not possible unless the hinge is super flexible... or can I find real big hinges anywhere..? Hope I drove my point home..
Sanjay sir, Do you mean to imply "just tape" or "hinge with tape"? In the former case, I can just ditch the hinges ;D
Thanks v2 eagle.. Don't your hinges bend in that case...? Please refer my previous reply.
Dear, this is something used even for big gassers!. so if you fit it right and leave it overnight to dry, you will never have to worry about. just slit on both sides and insert with a little foam safe glue . ill post pics in few hours for you to understand.
and i did it on all surfaces except elevator!!

Both jobs are done. The repair as well as the hinge
Thanks all. I'll post again after I'm done.
