There are a lot of ways you can use aluminium and steel cans.
I made a kind of jet engine out of coke cans, more of an afterburner, really. :D

Yes, a cheepo homemade electric dragster.
I made the same but with plastic cups to reduce weight and also it having memory effect that if it bends, it again can take it's shape. The angle of axis is roughly 15O. In perifery, 15O = 1/24th. So just offset amount can be measured easily (in top).
Moreover, for it's softness, automatic pitch adjustment just works nice.
