guys
please tell me which paint is suitable for thermocol?? :help: :help: :help:
i used a spray paint . it etched the thermocol :banghead: :banghead: as shown is photos.
You can use any paint that is diluted with Turpentine.
Fevicryl is a water based acrylic paint (you can clean the brush and your hands with water too ;D)
It doesn't etch anything, and dries to become waterproof!
Cheap too :D
@ sanjay sir, in which store will get Fevicryl paint???
Stationery Shop. You can get a box of 12 bottles (different colours) for Rs. 170. Loose also available.
See: http://www.himalayafineart.com/Product/153/Fevicryl+Acrylic+Colors.aspx
Thank you sir :) here one single bottle cost Rs.30.
If weight is not an issue, you may also try fabric colours.
A technique that i used to color and strengthen some objects was epoxy, if you are reinforcing your plane with epoxy and fiber then just mix acrylic color or soft/hard pastel powder of desired color with it, i have done this with araldite ;D.
Thanks for all . can i get this fabric colors in spray type????
I use Fevicryl fabric color mix it with few drops of water and spray paint it using airgun. Works Excellent.
It is the propellant used in these spray cans that eats into the foam. You need to spray it on the foam from a distance of about 1'. I have successfully used the readily available spray paint cans (Bosini brand I think) for painting foam with this technique. It will need a little practice though. Hope this helps.
You should try water-base spray!
