Hello,
I wanted to shop for a bunch of propellers for my glow engines, and was leaning towards getting wooden one this time. I need them for my .91FX, 91 Surpass, 1.20 AX , and Saito 125.
Now i see to have several brands available : XR, Master Airscrew, Turnigy, Zinger, Menz etc etc.

Which in your opinion is the best value for money ? I have normally used APC/Master Airscrew, but was thinking of a change and needed your opinion.

HobbyCity has the following available :

Let me know which is your favorite brand here.

Never been a "big airplane" flyer, but I have seen a brand called JXF being used often.  I know nothing about the "value for money" aspect of it, will inquire next time I am in that crowd.

If you can afford and if it is availble in the required size go for carbon fibre props. If not second best would be wooden props.
Amogst the FRP ones Bolly, APC are pretty good.
Long back I did a little crude experiment with my new toy (a tacho)
On the same needle setting and fule with an OS 46 FX mounted on the bench different props I had at hand (all same size off course). I had with me a 10x6 aurora wodden one, a 10x6 Sharma glass reinforced and a 10x6 Master airscrew. The best RPM's were with woden ones then with sharma and then the MA.
In smaller sizes below 10 inches and for reason of economy I still prefer the local Sharma props they do a good job.

Thanks Capt.
I am moving to wooden props now. I have used MA and APC all the time, but think its time to try something different.
HobbyCity has XR and Turnigy brands. Will need to find out if they are suitable for glow engines.
Do you know of any brands making CF props ? I am looking in the size 14-17 inches.

Thanks again !

Gaurav,
Bolly was one of them, making cf props. On reading you rquery I happened to go to thier site and was shocked to learn that they are under liquidation and these props are no longer going to be available. So if some dealear/seller has some stock get it while you can.
Here is a link to Bolly site

And this is a very informative article about props
