I need  0.20 to .25 engine, for my first rc plane. I want to make a small gliding model and further want to proceed for 3d flying.
So, will this engine be appropriate for 3d as well if i want to make it in small size fusalage?
please pm me if you have..
I can take off and fly well. Its landing which sucks :banghead::banghead:

You can try RCDhamaka who sell ASP engines. You may also try Rotor.co.in. Gaurav Agarwal  form your neighboring city may have one used, just in case.

Well Engine size depends on (1) Weight (AUW) of your model. and (2) Type of model (Glider/Trainer/Sport/3D).

For a same AUW, a 3D plane would need a larger engine (and larger prop to spin) than a glider. Vis a vis, an engine apt for a Glider could also be used for a 3D plane of much smaller / lighter. I have some how noticed that people more use 4-stroke engine for 3D planes, may be due to high torque capability at low RPMs.

If you are not scratch building (in Capt Manish's  term) and building from a Plan, look into the plan docs what engine they suggest or follow a build thread on some forum. If you are building sans a plan, kind of purist scratch building, then you need make a rough estimate of the target AUW and select and engine. This is usually not suggested as your first plane. Its much safer to follow a plan so that you can seek help from people already build the plane and plan in advance for all materials, trimming and challenges.

All the best.

Thanks, but still i havent get any. I need a used one, but well maintained. I dont want to spend for a new one as i m a newbie, and my budget doesnt allow me.Any engine from 0.20- 25 with throttle control will do at reasonable costs.

.20-.25 range in IC is not very common. the few people who have a good 2nd hand engine won't sell it not cheap anyway.
Seriously think electric in this range. you will have a wide range of motors with the flexibility you plan for as well as a number of foamy/ epo models.a number of build your own plans are also available.

Try Sharma model engines for .25 size. they are amazing.

Abhay,
The ASP engines in this size are not costly, even if you do manage to get a used 25 OS, either it wont come cheap or if it was cheap it would most probably at the end of its life. Unless some one really wants to donate a 25 size engine

I am not aware of any shops in Lucknow. As far as I know there are two firms who stock ASP, RCD and Indian Hobbies. Both are good. Take your pick
