The CP2102 module with 5 and 3.3v both is about Rs. 350. I will give it to you for free, provided you promise to post your progress on the forum, with pictures.
PS: I do not mean to demotivate you kid, but everyone has worked really hard here to be where they are today and we encourage and appreciate hardwork.
I would love to provided you guide me alongside my progress because to be honest with all you guys,im very new to this hobby and if someone guides me well,it would be quite helpful for me in the future.
Edit - This doesnt need my old bitten off wire right?
PM me your address, I'll have then sent over tomorrow morning.
We will need your older wires for salvaging the connectors. I'll put in some heatshrink for you as well. Get hold of a soldering iron (15-25w), some solder flux (paste) and solder wire. That should be it, if you have a webcam by any chance, all the more good. I could guide you through. Meanwhile, please post pics of the old wire especially the connectors (spare the chewed part ;))
QuoteOhh then maybe i would have to buy a new one because my mom threw it off! :banghead:
these connectors are not hard to find. Should be available at an audio store. Check the size of the connector once. An S-video cable seemingly has the same connector. The CP2102 module has an inbuild USB connector for the other side. You can get a soldering iron from the local electrical shop, its less expensive than a movie ticket.
Cheers
