Hi friends, I want to purchase an Aurora Gnome aeromodel kit. I have been searching for it since some time but have not been able to find it anywhere, it will be great if you can suggest me from where I can buy it or any website from where it can be ordered online.
The manufacture by Aurora has stopped at least 15-20 years ago. If someone has one, it will be a collector's item!
You could try a scratch built. The plans etc. are here: http://www.outerzone.co.uk/plan_details.asp?ID=4478
Aurora initially had a tie-up with Mercury Models (UK).Read about that here: http://www.rcindia.org/rc-general-topics/remembering-henry-j-nicholls-the-mercury-man/msg176467/#msg176467
Hey! So sorry, I am new to this forum so couldn't figure it out. Thanks a lot for the links.
No problem, we all have to learn, and it is a continuous experience :)
Haha.. true
Are you aware of the actual dimensions of the map? So that i can get it printed accordingly.
1. Download
2. Click Print
3. Select Scale FULL SIZE (100%)
The dimensions will be displayed at the bottom left corner
Thanks!

Just curious.
You are looking for a small non RC towline glider?
Why?
We learnt a lot from the Gnome, but that was 50 years ago.
By current standards it is outmoded.
If you are really interested, i can make one for you.
Regards.
Hi! I had this aeromodel with me a few years back, I had also constructed some part of it but couldn't complete it and then it got misplaced, so I had the desire to complete this aeromodel someday.
Thanks a lot for the help, do you have this model with you? I have been looking for it in some hobby stores.
Regards

Iyer saab imho the humble tow line, chuck/catapult, rubber power or IC powered free flight can still teach the willing much more about laws of aerodynamics and how to read wind and weather than a Radio Control can ever do.
@flyingboxcar,

Very Grateful to all my friends for taking interest in the post. Thanks @Sanjayrai55, @K K Iyer, @Gajjark. I have to postpone building this model due to business related engagements. Will surely seek help from all of you very soon. Thanks everyone.
