Hello Friends,

I am missing the flying badly, and it will take some more time for me to get back to it.

As I am posting to this forum, one of my friend who is in Calcutta / Kolkata is looking for a Trainer Plane in Ready-To-Fly condition.
He is in India for just couple of weeks and want to try his hands on this hobby, he is very new and I believe had already joined the forum as well.

Ok, so what all I need (or rather he need)

1) A trainer electric plane in RTF condition, including a radio (not fancy) but good enough to get some experience
2) Some guidance, if anyone in Kolkata is willing to spend couple of mornings/evenings with him in teaching him that will be great.

He is willing to spent decent amount on the plane but it should not cost fortune for sure.

Please let me know if anyone has a spare plane in working condition or even a new one which can be used.

Hi,
In fact there is no real RC Shop with reasonable price. The only RCHobby Shop "Indian Hobby Center" will robb him. So, please advice him to purchase online from Sai or RCBazaar or any other. He may get it within 3-4 days.

We have to unite and to prove ourself to make indigenous products as well as marketing / Canvasing them. I'm sure we must achieve success if we try unitedly.

You may remember that A few days ago, Nilanjan Paul tried to sell balsa models at high price. Those are from Palash of IHC who have expertise in 2, Balsa cutting and making high profit. He may caught your friend. Please don't advice him to visit that store as it may ruin the prestige of our country.

He just called me as he was at IHC and I had asked him to walk out. He was offered Yak-54 from "Nine Eagles" for 5k, any idea is it worth it considering he is looking for a quick buy?

I have flown this plane. It is a micro RC model by Nine Eagles. It uses micro brushed motor on 1S LiPo battery. This is an acrobatic plane and NOT a beginner model. These planes can be flown outdoors, but only when it is not too windy (0-10 kms wind max).

This model is available for about $60 from HobbyKing. The shipping to India is like $20.
So, you could expect to pay Rs 4000 if you get it directly from HobbyKing website (including 3-4 week wait for shipping and possible problems with customs).

I would negotiate with the store owner and feel comfortable paying Rs 4500 for the RTF plane.
