Hi,
I need one UBEC 5v for powering the APM 2.5 board
I prefer new but old may also work

Contact me asap.

Very easy to make one using 7805 voltage regulator chip - they are as common as peanuts and will easily power your board

Rahulvyas

i am not good at electronics. better to buy a ready one.

maybe you can build one and sell ?

Hey just do a DIY with what saikat bhaiya said the regulator may cost you 10RS or sumthin. But unless ur a electro guy u wont know shops that sell component electronics. The 7805 has 3 pins refer to the first image on this page: http://www.google.co.in/search?q=7805+pin+configuration&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=a_TSUee5IcPsrAftrYC4DA&ved=0CAcQ_AUoAQ&biw=1366&bih=677#imgdii=_

the 78XX are regulators that take n nuber of voltage and regulate it to the number specified on XX. So a 7805 will give you 5v out and a 7809 will give you a 9v out. The max amp this can handle is 1A max and voltage operating range is from 7.5 - 20v i think. Any voltage in that you give in this range to the 7805 will be regulated to 5v out. This is a very cost effective way rather than buying a BEC and i think it wont weigh above 3-5gm. But of course it can operate as a BEC,SBEC or UBEC and is not useful for higher current application if thats what you will be using it for.
There are more powerful regulators available like the V78XX but i think they arent available locally :(. If any problems then ask me.

1st problem, is it easy for a newbie at electronics..?

Very ;D
quite simple connect you input to pin 1, out is at pin 3 and the central one is ground all negative wires go:) not all whatever is related to supply only ;)

Using a 7805 is a good idea, but there will be lot of heat dissipated since rahul might be using a 11.1 V battery.

If your very unsure then dont do it. putting solder on the heatshrink negative is was a bit difficult for me it kept on detaching just roughen that metallic alu tab on top then solder the negatives to it ;) . Very easy soldering its like soledering 2 XT60 connectors to their wires only here you gotta know whut ur doin thats all

UBEC are switching power supplies rated for higher capacities. Applications requiring higher current use UBECs. The ESC's that have internal UBEC's and BEC use SMD regulator components so still the have lower capacity but for their size quite enough. The UBEC that dhruva has posted is quite big compared to the one on ESC's as this is for higher current and voltage application. :). Your are not gonna use above 12V and i dont know if your current is above 1A but if your running above that then you shouldnt use the 78XX :(

okay, thanks guys...
i will decide this later.
let me buy the frame first

UBECs are linear power supplies. SBEC is switching.

78XX metal package can safely handle upto 3A.

If you're capable of using an APM, you can make a BEC with 7805.

thanks
I used an UBEC 5V 3A to power it. Will try 7805 next time.
