Please check your nearest cellphone shop. Search for Rechargable LiPoly cell used for Bluetooth headset. (200mAh). Here it costs Rs.90/- to 100/-. therefore, you will get this as low as Rs. 200/-. Take Rs.30/- for connector. 200mAh Li-Ion 5C cells are priced Rs. 40/- to 60/- per pc.

I would be better to go with a NiMH setup though.Li-Ion cells will require more modding and a charger will be required also.

But an interesting suggestion nonetheless.

What is the minimum mAH you have not specified. The cells can be used in microRC and that is why this is given. I have given 600mAH cell info earlier.
