Dear all,
I am in need of a high end Radio preferably the new Futaba 4PKS-R. Where to find it in India?
I can get Sanwa M12 from India though but I have a futaba servo so, am concerned about compatibility.
Regards,
The M12 can be used with any brand of servo.
Thats true but Futaba servo has J type connector. Others like Airtronics, JR, Hitec etc have similar Z/S type.
Will this J connector (having a key sideways) go in Airtronics receiver readily or will I have to trim it ?
Any servo will not stop you from going for M12. Its one of the best radios available in the market and India today. Its for the highest level of racing. Sanwa had the servo issues years ago, not anymore. I use Sanwa MT4 and Savox HV servos and use Hitec ones, we have others in India using M12 and futaba servos
Which car do you drive?
Futab 4PK in stock.
Please call for price.

Get Sanwa for land based items at least . M12 or mt4 . Futaba is good too. But u have a official distributer for sanwa here who sells at almost same price as US. :) . I'm using mt4, actually haven't even powered it yet as there is no Rc car activities happening.
Thanks guys...
I am in process of building a Losi 8ight TE 2.0
Just gathering top notch equipments for the build.
I have a Futaba BLS172SV SBus2 HV servo. Its quite pricey thats why I appealed to you :)
Great, go ahead with either of the radios. The Sanwa pricing is too good to miss and M12 is the best in business. I use the mid range MT4 and works very well. Lighter than the M12.
Not sure of the retail on Futaba 4PK. Moreover its the previous generation. 4PKS came after that and now its the 4PKSR
Thanks mail4ajo,
What kind of range you are getting with MT4? And yes, 4PK is older one. I believe that M12 is more of an evolution over M11x as
compared to 4pksr, 4pks series.
Radio link is good in mt4, range don't know, mt4 comes with one way simple telemetry that actually works unlike spektrum ones. M12 supports telemetry too . Not as important/complex as aircrafts/multis but u won't have to get down from the driver stand to check simple things like engine temp, volt etc.
Thanks pravesh736,
I think M12 is the one. I have read I have to whittle down the 'key' on the futaba servo J connector by a sharp blade like X-acto or dremel it to fit snug.
^^
I had to do that to have my servo and ESC fit in the RX451 and RX371 for my M11x.
I took some sandpaper and gradually sanded the plug down.
I'm loving the M11x and expect even better performance from the M12.
Just take a blade and cut the edge down. 3 secs work . :giggle:
okie dokey
