Bought a new frame ( X600 ) and realized that I dont have the correct mounts for my motor.
Would be happy if someone could give to me ? I need just 3 mounts .

If you have then just lying around, please just giveaway? Or if you have a capitalist mind then please quote a price that a person who uses his pocket money for this hobby is buying :P :(

You dont need motor mounts to connect 2212 motor to X600 or X525 frame. You have to connect motor directly to the frame's motor mount.

According to this link: http://www.arducopter.co.uk/whats-new/x600-quadcopter-frame-assembly-guide. The frame has built in motor mounts and you attach the motors directly to it. You might want to use some Loctite.

Its for securing the screws,,,,,to avoid screws becoming loose due to vibration , I think.

I haven't used any of these........I usually zip tie my motors...!!

ok . So let me get this straight. I dont need to screw in my motors to the frame but either zip tie them or use the glue ?

You can decide on whether you should use Loctite or not, It's recommended to use if you are screwing the motors.....If you don't use  loctite, periodically check the motor mounting screws whether they are secure.

You can avoid the motor mounts, if you are zip tying... But aesthetic appearance won't be good !!
That's the only problem with zip tie.

Loctite is not glue and you are not trying to glue it to the frame. If you are using screws, just put a single drop of Loctite Blue on each screw before tightening it. Search on google for details. If you put too much Loctite the screw will practically be welded and you won't be able to remove it. Make sure it is Loctite Blue as other types are not easily removable. This helps prevent the screws from coming loose due to vibrations but it is not vital as far as i know.

It is out of stock on rcbazaar too. According to some other threads, it is available in local hardware stores. Ask for Loctite Blue (242 Grade) or Anabond Blue. I haven't built anything yet and this just from my reading so be careful not to use anything too strong.

sooraj.palakkad

There won't be problems if you are not using Loctite,
But just check whether the screws become loose due to vibrations, before and after each flight.

KALYANPRODHAN

The simplest thing is using any rubber based adhesive using some thick and let dry sometime and then tighten the screw. You can get similar effect. In fact, loctite is some rubber like materials that increases the friction and holds the screw with nuts or any other inner thread.

sooraj.palakkad

Then araldite (from pidilite) would work , isn't it ?
RC Hobbyist and an Aerial Cinematographer..

KALYANPRODHAN

Araldite is Epoxy Resin that gone harder like stone, not like rubber that you can unscrew the same. It is like Dendrite or Fevicol SR998 that gone like rubber, soft after drying.
