Uh oh :( , Nikhil, after all those discussions, this is ridiculous - for a wanted thread you should provide exact details of what you want .

Had looked up 'battery' in Google to understand what was required.
Had posted what i found, but then deleted it for fear of causing offence.
However, on popular demand, i am now posting what i found.

Battery - criminal offense involving unlawful physical contact with another person

I think i may have got the wrong answer!
;D

Learned something new today :). thank your Iyer sir and Nikhil27 :thanks:

On further searches got the information on use of word 'battery' over time,

https://books.google.com/ngrams/graph?year_start=1800&year_end=2008&corpus=15&smoothing=7&case_insensitive=on&content=battery&direct_url=t4%3B%2Cbattery%3B%2Cc0%3B%2Cs0%3B%3Bbattery%3B%2Cc0%3B%3BBattery%3B%2Cc0%3B%3BBATTERY%3B%2Cc0

How come that decrease just after 1950's ??? , may be because people started using chemical names for each type of battery :giggle:

@Nikhil27,Extremely sorry for Hijacking your thread .

@nikhil27,
Jokes over. Time for a proper reply.

In general, better to buy new lipos instead of second hand (whose past useage may be unknown).
For 12v Tx, a 3s lipo of say 1500-2650mah is suitable.
For airborne use, it depends first of all on whether your motor is rated for 2s, 3s, 4s etc.
Then you have to see the max current rating of the motor.
Assume you have a 3s 225watt motor. This will draw about 20amps on full throttle (with correct prop).
Lipos are rated by number of cells, capacity and max discharge rate.
A 3s 1000mah 25C lipo (~Rs 750) is theoretically capable of supplying 25amps (1000mah x 25C).
In practice it may not be able to sustain over say 15amps (unless high quality expensive lipo).
At this rate it will last 4minutes (1000mah=1Ah=60Amp minutes, or 4min at 15 amps).
Lipos should not be run down below 30%. So using 70% capacity will last 2.8minutes.
Since most of the flight is at part throttle, you'll actually get about 5minutes.
For higher current draw and/or more duration, you'll need an 1800 or 2200mah lipo.
More expensive and twice as heavy as a 1000mah.
You'll also need a balance charger, preferably an 'intelligent' one.

Hope this helps. If you already knew such stuff, please ignore this post!
Regards.
