Corona synthesized would be the simplest option, and people are very comfortable using it on less than .50 size aircraft.

thnx for the info Mr. anwar.
out of curiosity .. what if more than 50 scale planes.. i have a .52 scale nitro( under cunstruction)
i hve been fying electrics and recently got 2 nitros. .46 and .52.

That would fall in the same category.  BTW, I am talking about .50ci, not 50cc.  I see reports on US forums about people using these even on big gassers, no direct (I mean myself or others in our field) experience.

Yes, you clearly mentioned "nitro" :)   I was making myself clear for the general audience, specifically worried about my scant experience with the same.

Any brand receiver on any 72 mhz channel would work

with your Tx and module combination you have
full flexibility across the 72mhz band

I can offer 5 receivers for Rs 5000/-

pm if interested.

I thought there would still be positive/negative shift differences, so it would be incompatible with JR and Airtronics 72Mhz receivers ?

if the TX has synthesized module .. it detects the shift polarity automaticallly.

and binds to it..

paladugu_sujith

i am looking for corona dual conversion receivers.. please post if someone willing to sell!!..

Not every synth module supports this ("selection of positive or negative shift").  The Futaba synth module, for example, does not (which is the original reason I got confused).

With NO two-way communication from the receiver to the transmitter (module), wonder how the shift selection is "automatic".  Are you sure about this, or do you have to manually select the "shift" also ?  A shift agnostic receiver can always try both shifts and lock on to the right one, but how does a transmitter do it ?

:o .. i was searching for differences b/w single and dual conv. receivers and got this info!!..  somebody posted that dual conv has the ability to judge the shift polarity by itself. i m still not sure.. need to google more to get the info out..

anwar

"Single and dual conversion" (which is a receiver only thing) is a completely different issue from "positive and negative shift".

Hitec Optic 6 is shift selectable hence my original remark
of complete flexibility.

How does one actually do the "shift selection" ? Software ?  A switch on the module ? Automatic (somehow) ?

Rao

In Hitec Spectra Tx Modules one can Select positive or Negative shift in the Menu. :)

anwar

Rao-ji - Thanks for pitching in... it has been a while :)

So shift selection is manual as expected, and not automatic.  I guess this is a "per-model" setting.

aah... I will chk that today. thnk u so much rao sir.

i booked 2 receivers from  rcforall mr sai.. :D..

8 channel synthesized dual conv.at 1600 INR is a good deal.

saikat

The shift is selected from the transmitter software.
(per model setting)

the spectra module just selects the frequency

Anwar,

On hitech tx, the user can select positive / negative shift. It si ABSOLUTELY manual process.
Futaba Tx does not have this feature.
Cheers !!!
