I am not able to locate proper shock oil in any LHS here. Importing them is ridiculously expensive.

Chirag will probably give a solution!
Meanwhile, why not try 3 in 1 oil, then 20w, 30w, 40w etc till you get the reqd damping?
Surely it can't be that sensitive.
I wonder if you could differentiate between them from the performance!

use the lightest grade of gear oil ... since you will require only minimal amount
go to a service center cars . eg: hyundai and ask nicely ... they will give for free.

just for you info if your cars shocks have silicone seals you can also use brake fluid
which is also hydraulic fluid .... but if you use with rubber seals it will cause the seals to leak.

hydraulic brake fluid in shocks is much better for damping.

Order off amainhobbies, they ship internationally and for cheap. I've bought shock oils, diff oils etc from them- liquids not an issue
