@VC Sir,
Before i got a magnetic balancer (paid through my nose, 650, only because i coveted it for decades),
I was using sticks from flower bouquets...
They are all slightly diff dia, so you can find one that fits the prop snugly.
Made in India jugaad!

In place of katori if u use glass it will be perfect balancer.......

Great minds think alike and fools seldom differ. :giggle:

That is exactly what I am doing now.

@VC Sir
@Saikat Sir,
Since Saikat sir is also watching, hope VC Sir won't mind this off topic query to both of them.
It should really go in his chuck glider thread...

How to make a DT fuse?

Have a Seelig timer somewhere but can't find it.
Used Charminars in the old days. But also used to get a fuse from somewhere (IHC?)

If i manage 1 minute, wouldn't want to lose it, would i?

VC

Agarbatti.......shrouded in a tin tube.

I am trying to incorporate the same in a TLG that I am planning to build soon. It won't break the fuselage in half, it will just pull up the elevator to induce a descent.

Agarbati as fuse, string, rubber band, weight. When the fuse burns through, the weight dangles from the nose, bringing the cg forward

I thought the idea was to minimize friction to the least possible value. So even if there is a minor imbalance, the prop will rotate towards that end. Then you either add weight on the other side or reduce weight from the heavier side. Also the price is just 135 Rs.

sanjayrai55

That is correct. But a differential magnetic field can make it auto-rotate

Buy it and let us know how it works ;)

wanderer2627

Will do...haha. Does any one know where I can buy 6 ring magnets of specific polarities? Searched online but could not find where I can get small quantity of magnets.
