Where can I get i2c to gps board for multiwii in India ?

vijai

I dont know about multiwii but in arduino, you simply use a pcf8574 ic which is IO expander. You can simply program it to read the device address and communicate with it. If you need it, I can give you the IC for free (just the shipping cost to be paid).

The IC will connect to i2c port on the FC and other IO pins with the gps. So parallel data from GPS is translated to serial data and sent to FC if thats what you want

I googled it it won't work . But thanks for offering

Then I'll buy it from your site.

What does it do actually?

devangflyer

It basically converts the signal from the gps board to 12c signal so that it can work with multiwii

vijai

then PCF8574 will work. May be you will have to change the code of multiwii accordingly (Dont know if it is a opensouce FC). But if the i2c to GPS board is cheap, then I think, its better to use that as that should probably be more compact and simple.

I am still going to use the 12c converter board

Great! That is what I too meant in my last post.
