hi guys.
for those of you who have gone to lipo there is room in most xt for a cheapy 'lipo alarm' as is used when flying.............  most  tx warn when volts gone down by 1/4 power I think..... so some where near lipo stop time anyway.

They consume some amount of current continuously. At the end of the day if you forget to remove them from the TX, the batteries are trash even though the tx is off.  ;)

Go for this... REALLY A GOOD and a WORTH BUY !!!

Transmitter batteries

Time to upgrade!  For many years 9.6V Ni-Cd  battery packs have been used in RC transmitters, but Dualksy has brought the radio world into the high power of Li-Poly batteries.    We have developed a new Li poly battery packs to replace the old tired Ni-Cd packs.  These new packs provide 3 times the duration at half the weight!   Now you can charge your radio once a month, instead of once a week!

Also our transmitter Li-Poly battery packs have a built in cell balancer which will protect and balance cells when charging.  This will also prolong the life of your battery pack.  The battery can be charged while in the radio as long as a Li-Poly charger is used.

No modifications are required, just install the pack into your radio with the Fuatabaplug and fly!  All transmitters are programmed to sound a Low Battery alarm and this will allow safe time land the plane and charge your battery.

We also can supply connectors for JR or other brand transmitters.

I intend to buy the Turnigy 1450mAh 3S 11.1v Transmitter Lipoly Pack. The pack includes a JST-XH charge port plug, and a Futaba plus a JR style discharge plug.
Can I just plug and play or do I need to do any soldering in the Tx (Futaba T6EXHP) to connect? ???

Nope. The Futaba plug should work just fine.

Anwar Bhai,
Where do I plug the battery connector to the Tx?  :banghead:Do I have to open the Tx? I have a Futaba T6EXHP.

Just open up the battery case, and see where the current battery connector goes.  Unplug that, and plug the lipo one just like that.  It should go in only one way (there is a notch on the connector that ensures this, I believe the HK battery supports this... the battery for the 9c etc sure supports this).
