Hi guys!
i am building a new quad and i can't find the low pass filter anywhere for fpv. I can't also find the components required to DIY it. Can anyone point me where to buy it from?? or even if you have one you want to sell.

thanks.

BevRC, FoxtechFPV, Fpvstyle, ReadymadeRC are some trusted source. you can find them on Ebay/Aliexpress too.

There are few LHS as well, but their Selling price is sometimes more than double.

i really want to avoid buying anything from international sellers. Last time i ended up paying 40% of the total price as duty...

how long does it take for aliexpress to ship usually???

thanks

You might find this link helpful if you want to try DIYing it: http://blog.oscarliang.net/lc-filter-fpv/. As for sourcing the parts to DIY it there are several retailers of electronic components online in India including: http://www.ventor.co.in/, http://www.electroncomponents.com/, http://www.probots.co.in/ (I have seen many complaints about Probots), http://hobby2go.com/ http://www.digibay.in/ and more

I think what Kushagra is trying to buy is VERY specific to FPV/RC and you cannot find it even in US DIY Hobby sites:

Please correct me Kushagra. If you are looking for LC Line Filter, then you can build it at home under Rs 50. No need to spend $7 outside. As far as Customs goes, what did you ordered ? Out of 300+ orders, i have paid Customs only 5-6 times.
Getting small items like LP Filter which comes in bubble envelope, I doubt customs should bother unless you place is real nasty.

Oops. My bad. I don't know much about FPV and I thought that was what he was looking for. I don't mean to hijack his thread but could someone please enlighten me as to what the difference between these filters is.

thanks for the general Links pal. I found a decent SMD supplier.
What Kushagra seems to look for a very narrow band "RF" Band pass  filter. These are precision and tuned component made up of Inductors and Capacitors.

These are used in combination of Long Range System (433Mhz instead of 2.4G for Radio Controller) and FPV Video Transmitter when you dont want your Radio Control signal to interfere with your Video system and vice versa.
Usually the Transmitters (and Receivers) are made without strong filtering and you have spurious and harmonics signals let to till antenna. These can greatly reduce your range or even jitter your Servos.

Thanks for clarifying this. So basically it is like an important safety feature for FPV right? So the circuit I suggested is only meant to remove interference from the power system but it does nothing about interference between the Tx and VTx. As for the links, I am happy to help another electronics enthusiast. I haven't tried most of these suppliers though. Do you think they should be included in a new thread listing electronics suppliers?

This is the same sort of LC (Inductor-capacitor) filter for the power system I posted a link to. You can easily make it yourself for very cheap. You can get the parts from the websites I posted or from local electronic components stores. Just to be clear, are you looking for a LC power filter to remove noise from the power system or a band pass filter to remove interference between your Tx and VTx (like what Ujjwaana  Sir posted)?

kushagrgoyal

I need to remove the noise caused by using the same battery for all the motors etc and video system.

finally able to complete my build, waiting on props...
