Want z pliers used preffered first

Till you get one, you can try this method (which you may already be aware of):
1. First bend
2. Second bend
3. Twist 90 degrees to straighten

Z bends at both ends make adjustments impossible without bending the push rods.
You don't really need Z bends.
At the control surface end you can use an L bend. Add a washer of card and a drop of hotglue or epoxy.
At the servo end use an adjuster that mounts on the servo arm and has an allen grub screw to adjust the length of the pushrod.

I fear i am saying things you already know.
You may have a specific reason for needing Z pliers.
But 800-1000 just seems too much.

One more tip- I make z bends on both side using 1.5 mm wire, and add a kink in the middle to adjust length. Squeeze kink to reduce length and expand to increase.
