Why not Corona :)
Anwar how do u rate Corona as receivers? Are they compatable with futaba TX's? I read on some forums that they have problems linking wih Futaba transmitters? Should the receiver be of the exact frequency as the Transmitter. ie. 35.160 Mhz?
Regards

I have a 72Mhz 8 channel one I use on a foamy. My brother and two others on the field are using them on all kinds of planes (up to 60 size nitro ones). So far they work as advertised, and all of us are on Futaba (except one who has both Hitec and Futaba TXes, not sure which one he uses the Corona with).
Does the RX have to be the exact frequency as the TX? I have a 35.160 Mhz TX, does the RX have to be the same or can it be any 35 Mhz?
Nope, these are synthesized (channel/crystal free). They will lock on to your TX channel (when you follow the procedure for that).
Thanks Anwar. I have yet to find a LHS for the corona RX's. Do u kow of any? If not then I hear Hobbycity.com has the whole range.

The Corona receiver operated at 1.3 kms from base quite comfortably without a glitch while flying fpv this week end
