I'm looking for a 3s Flightmax Zippy 4000mah

Anyone know where I could buy one from? (Online or Mumbai LHS?)

Jatayu

Doubt if any LHS stock such huge battery....

Take 2 2200mah and put it in parallel works out cheaper and is flexible if u have to use it on a smaller airframe.

Its for a quadrotor. Size shouldn't be a problem.

I didn't want to use lipo's in parallel :(

Jatayu

i knew it was for a quad! i have used 2200 mah on quads i have built... charging a 4000mah battery will take time. u can charge multiple batteries faster... it may require an extra connector and some wires...

its ur call!

You've had no issues in using batteries in parallel?

The advantage with two batteries instead of one is that you can experiment with different AUWs.  Also, the risk of the entire lipo getting damaged in any (God forbid) incident is mitigated to some extent.

Jatayu -  If one is able to provide 1C charge currents (for typical lipos, or higher in other cases), then the charging time is pretty much independent of the mAH capacity.

Not if you use similar ones (same mAH, cell count and C rating).

I think its more of a Chalta hai mentality. :D

I've asked this question atleast 20 times over the past 2 years, in regard to Electronics, Robotics and Now flight.

Even though you might be using matched batteries it still degrades them.

Ab Accucel ka charger use kar rahein hai toh thodi mehngi battery bhi le leni chahiye :D
