WTB: Gas Heli

Does anyone know any place for getting gas powered helis from india?
if so, pls provide some contact details..

Never saw any on Indian hobby shops. Try contacting Aravind @ Rotor Chennai, he seems to be the only who is specializing on helis (other than Rajesh/Rotorzone).

One option is for you to get a heli (like Raptor 50 or 90), and get an appropriate Gas engine. Then you will most likely need to get a "conversion kit" that allows the gas engine to be mounted on to the heli frame. Typically these are couple of custom machined aluminiun pieces of engine mounts and a custom machined fan + drive gears. Such conversion kits are available online.

Sometimes, the a custom frame will also be needed.

BTW, it is always simpler to go for a well known gasser like the Predator. The issue is local support, you have to be willing to wait for any parts needed later on to be shipped in from outside India.

Aravind has the Vario brand. Heard its very popular in Europe. I have seen him fly. Amazing is all I can say. I have no idea on the specs and features.

Vario is also well known. Didn't know Aravind sold those. That would be the answer to this thread right away.

I helped setup a big turbine powered Vario scale heli for someone, it was quite an experience.
